Police Verification certificate - from India VALIDITY

Hi,
I am coming to canada for good leaving family and try to find a job.
however before coming , i thought i shall get POLICE VERIFICATION for my family.

Can anyone tell me how long it is valid ?

I mean how many months valid.

For immigration purposes, the police certificate is valid for three months from the time it is issued.

Why do you need a police verification?
From your post, it appears that you have already got a PR visa, if so your family (for Immigration purposes, family means spouse and kids - not parents and siblings), too appears to have got PR visa (their names should have been included in your application). If that is the case, why do you need the police verification? May be answer to that question would make it easier for us to answer your original question.
