Guys, I don't want to scare you, but I ordered my FBI police certificate at the beginning of November of the last year and got the certificate only this May.

The last draw:

Determination — number of invitations

1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on September 21, 2016 and ending on September 22, 2016 is 1,288.

Required rank

(2) Foreign nationals who, on September 21, 2016 at 12:05:41 UTC, have been assigned a total of 483 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014 and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

Thanks, this is new information for me. But they do seem to have a cut off when it comes to number of invites? Say they had their quota on 1,288 and they decide the cut off is 470 points. There might be 20,000 with 470 points and above in the pool... how do they select which participants to exclude/include?

Thats insane. Did you have any issues with the police certificates e.g. did they not approve of your fingerprints, etc.?

No, it was smooth, just a very very long wait. The letter says that the check was done in March, but again, I got the letter in May only. So don't wait and hurry. Save the check you paid to the finger print agencies that you submitted your prints for the fbi report and save post tracking slips to prove you have requested for the check. If to be honest, I thought I would never get mine. So don't worry and get the proof you have requested for it.

Thanks, I have the tracking prove and a picture of the fingerprint card, that's all.
By the way can I ask when the FBI withdraw the money for your application? You said you filed it in at the beginning of November, when did you notice the withdrawal from your account? I was hoping I would get a better idea of how far they are in the process by continually checking whether they withdraw the money. So far, nothing, and it's been precisely one month now.

HOW can this take so long? If the FBI is so intrusive and has so much detail on you as some people believe then surely running a scan should be quick.

The UK one takes about 5 days!
