Police Clearance

I am writing to inquire about the police clearance requirement for my application. My husband and I are applying for a visit to see my critically ill father-in-law. Unfortunately, obtaining the required police clearance involves a lengthy process, and I am concerned that this delay may prevent us from reaching him in time.

Given the urgency of the situation, would a certificate of disposition suffice as an alternative to meet the requirement?

Unfortunately, a certificate of disposition won't likely suffice. Be ready that your urgent circumstances won't expedite the process of issuing a visa either.

You may try to apply with a certificate of disposition and add a letter of explanation that you will provide the police clearance later on. Just provide a proof that you are in the process of getting it.
