Hi,

I'm an Indian citizen residing in the US since 2014. I understand that my Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for US is valid for 6 months. I had a question about my Indian Police Clearance. So I got my Indian police clearance back in Jul 2017. Since Jul 2017 I have been residing in US, however I did visit India for around 3 weeks in Dec 2018/Jan 2019.

Do I need a new PCC for India?

As per https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...-permanent-residence/police-certificates.html, my interpretation is that I don't need a new police clearance, because I did not reside in India for more than 6 months after certificate issue date. Is that true?

I read on some other forum, the fact that my Police certificate is invalid because I visited India after issuance of PCC in Jul 2017.

Please help me? Not sure if I'm missing anything?

I think yes. You will have to provide Police Clearance from all countries where you’ve stayed for 6 months or more in the last 10 years.
