Does a police clearance have to be from the city you live in or can it be from any part of your own country?

if the person is currently residing in india, than it has to be from the city they are in.... if the person is not living in india than they can get a PCC from the nearest indian high commission or embassy

hey .. it must be from the location where u r currently staying(better if ur stay in the current address is not less than 1yr) ..
would like to share 1 more thing abt PCC in india .. don't apply at Regional Passport Office as they will delay in sending your application to commissioner office .. just go and apply directly at commissioner office . this will speed up d process n u'll get probably within 3-5 days ..

Hi bhai.. he is in Pune been there for nearly a year I am worried its going to take time since he had moved and was trying to get in contact with the landlord for the lease agreement. That was a difficult task but finally he got it and applied yesterday but we only have until the 12 or 13 of August. Our letter was dated june 14 and it took two weeks to get to him. So we have 60 days from the date of the letter to send everything in. We are really scared its going to take a long time. When he was in Nagpur it took no time I think 2 days to get it. But in Pune we dont know. :'(
