Police clearance from UAE (Dubai)

Hello All,

I have to apply for a PCC from Dubai; Can any one who has applied for this earlier, please advise on the time it should take on an average; and the best way to apply - directly or via any consultants.

Hi Pkmcl,

It's a long 4 step process. Details are provided in here:http://uae-embassy.ae/Embassies/ca/Content/1181

It took a little more than 2 months for the complete process even though I had a relative in Dubai who went and submitted the forms on my behalf.


I found that the first 3 steps are OK and can be done by post. The last step, getting the actual police certificate from UAE, I'd say post the documents to anyone you know in Dubai and request them to get that processed and post it back to you without opening any envelope (in case it's a closed envelope). And this one took about 30 days, 10 days for the post to reach Dubai, 10 days for processing and 10 days for return.

Thanks a lot. I called a consultant who does this, He said it would take 15 working days or a max of 30 working days. I am planning to ask his services, though his charges are steep.

I am applying for PCC from dubai. Can you tell me if you used the certified fingerprint form (issued by RCMP, Ottawa) or the notarized photocopy of fingerprint form for authentication and legalization in Canada?
