Police clearance e certificate UAE - acceptable?

Hi all,

Just wanted to know if anyone submitted the police clearance e-certificate that Dubai Police has started issuing now? I believe it is not stamped, but there is some reference and PIN to confirm authenticity on Dubai Police website. .. its the latest method they say is accepted by all ministries and embassies...
I already applied for it earlier today, and just need to go verify identity at the poloce station, after which they will email me the certificate.
did anyone do it?

I called the Dubai police call center and they confirmed that its 100% original, and the new system does not require a stamp... and it should be accepted for Canadian immigration..

Does anyone have any idea on this?

Do they require fingerprint forms ?

I literally just went to dubaipolice.gov and did it..but I believe we need to go to the nearest police station to verify our identity. .. so you would be better off going through the route that CIC suggests on their website for those outside the UAE..

I also got an online police certificate? Is it accepted by Abu Dhabi Visa Office?

I'm not sure if our application goes through Abu Dhabi VO or is being handled directly from Canada...
either way, hoping that this is accepted. .. it clearly mentions that this is the original and stamp is NOT required...eith details to login and confirm authenticity..... need to wait and watch. ..

Hey guys,

I applied for the PCC in person at the HQ in Muraqabbat, Deira and received it the very next day.
I have an issue with the validity statement. To be specific, it says that the PCC is valid for 3 months.. Do your PCCs have that statement too?

Good news that they have started online application for UAE PCC. But I beleive it is meant only for the people who are currently residing in UAE.
Just make sure one thing that if you are applying for Canada PR from UAE or for that matter any other country, the PCC from your current country of residence must have a date after the date you received the ITA.

Thanks for the info.. wasnt aware that it has to be dated after ITA... though Alhumdulillah mine was well after..
yes I think all UAE good conduct certificates say 3 months validity... that is why I applied for it just few days before sending my entire application.... I kept PCÇ and medical right until end..last 5 days or so before submission.

PCC need not be dated after the ITA but it needs to be valid for at least 6 months after submission if its meant for the country where you currently live.

Agreed that it should be valid for 6 months.
However, there have been a few cases rejected since the PCC of the current country of residence was obtained before the date of ITA.
So to be on the safest side, best to obtain it after ITA.

That doesn't make sense. There is no such regulation from CIC. Can you point out any such unfortunate incidents reported on the forum?

I read one case somewhere in this forum and plus my consultant warned me about this as two of his clients faced rejection only because of the date of the PCC of the current country of residence.
That is why I mentioned it here.

We can see this statement mentioned on the CIC website
"For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply."

I am still wondering then why is CIC contradicting their own statements and have come up with unacceptable reasons for refusal.

I don't think CIC would make such blunders in assessment. There must be more to those cases than what your consultant told you. PCC for current country of residence is valid provided it isn't more than 6 months old at the time of submission. Given that your average PCC has a 1 year validity, that indirectly means the PCC must be valid for at least 6 months during submission.
