Police clearance check report

Hi Guys,
I am a bit confused and not sure what step to take next. I received my police clearance check last week. It states" A search based on the above name and date of birth has not disclosed a record of criminal convictions in Canada's national repository for criminal records. Calgary police service local indices and the Alberta court indices have not disclosed other relevant information". My concern right now is that on the letter, it is stamped with a red ink that states "Please note: The Calgary police service information check unit recommends a local police check be conducted where this applicant previously resided". what do they mean, are they asking for record check from Toronto( that was where I was living before moving to Calgary) or are they asking for record check from my country of origin? If it is country of origin, I was 16 when I left. If its from Toronto, I thought the check was Canada wide as mentioned in the statement above "A search based on the above name and date of birth has not disclosed a record of criminal convictions in Canada's national repository for criminal records". I'm so confused right now. call centre not sure what to say.what do you guys think? Thanks!

First of all are you applying for PR? Is that why you got a police check? (Sorry if that sounded silly cause this is obviously an immigration forum.)

Second, Is there any other country besides Canada that you have resided in when you turned 18?

If you have been in Canada since you were 18. Then you shouldn't need to get a police clearance from Canada as the CIC will conduct their own criminal and security check for you.

If you have lived somewhere else besides Canada when you turned 18 for 6 months or more than you need a police clearance check from that country.

If you already know this information, sorry and just trying to help.
