Hello All,

I have received ITA in Jan 2018. Could anyone guide me regarding police clearance certificates. Do I need to provide police clearance certificates of period from age 18 years till now or is there any time period (e.g 10 years) from Jan 2018 to Jan 2008 is required?

You need a police certificate from any country or territory that you have spent six months or more since the age of 18. So, there is no specific number of years. If you are 21 then you will need to cover 3 years and if you are 31 you will need to cover 13 years, etc. Good Luck!

Thanks for your quick response.
So it means that if i was born on July 11, 1985 I would require police clearance certificate from July 12, 2003. Correct me if I am wrong.

Appreciate your reply. One more query pertaining to this.
My wife's last name has been changed after marriage (age at that time was above 18). Would she require police clearance certificate with old name till marriage date or certificate issued with current last name would be suffice?
