Police Clearance Certificate

Hi

I sent application(along with passport and fees) for Police clearance certificate to Indian Consulate General New York. It is already over 2 months and I have not received it yet. Also I did not get any request seeking clarification/additional documents. It is given that it may take about 45 days. I am little anxious because it is taking long. Also I sent query to them twice through email( tried to call but it goes to message box). I did not get any response.

Just want to make sure that if this time line is normal or if I need to do anything to expedite the process. Any suggestion/experiences are deeply appreciated.

you certainly have the complete address of your country consulate which mean phone number...all it will take you is just a phone call
and you'll be fixed on the issue.

Two months is too long. Usually it takes about a month.
