Hello everyone!
I would like to know if I can go to local district police station of my area and get PCC from there or do I need to go to passport office and get it done from them. My consultant is forcing me to get it done from the passport office but on cic website it says to get it done from the local police station. I live in Uttar Pradesh and am unable to book it for passport office on the website.

Would appreciate help from you all!

Thanks

Hi

Both work. Its just a difference of letterhead. But the safest side is passport office as they don't make any mistake on certificate.
I have heard the one from police station sometimes they make a mistake on dates and screw up everything.
Why dont you visit the passport office in person and apply ?

Thank you for getting back to me. Going to UP passport office will be a waste of time. If both work, I will make sure that they don't do any mistake and all the required dates and name is correct on it. So it be ok if everything is correct on the police station one?

Thanks
