Police clearance certificate

Hi All,

I recently applied for police certificate from Amritsar, India. I have question regarding that, in the pcc they have mentioned that ".. does not have any criminal record since 8 years", when I enquired they said they have written like this because certificate is issued for time after person turns 18, and it is standard format. So my doubt is that cic may not take this in bad light. If any one from Amritsar can clarify this , it will be great help. Also what important points should be there is pcc.

CIC Need PCC only from the age 18. Dont worry they accepts it
