Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)

Dear Friends,

here i have a problem regarding my PCC as my earlier post regarding Dubai PCC, now i got Dubai PCC and the problem is Indian PCC,

after getting Dubai PCC we (my wife & me) went to EMPOST office to apply Indian PCC, there my wife has got the clearance from Indian Consulate and they accepted my wife application and she got the PCC within 4 days its really very fast service, but mine Indian consulate they did not give clearance, so next day I went Indian Consulate to Inquiry about clearance, they took my PP copy & some details and said that, we will send a request to Hyderabad(my PP issued in Hyderabad PP office) passport office for the clearance it will take 2 to 4 weeks of time and the thing they did not give me any file no./reference no to enquiry about the status.

so friends if any body knows any information how to know the status in Hyderabad passport office and is it OK to wait till it comes or should I go to India directly to get the PCC.

can any body suggest me which one is better option

Firstly is ur wife passport issued from Dubai? Maybe that is why she got it quickly.
Next did u lose any of your last cancelled passport?
Last is maybe someone with ur same name is blacklisted.

Two four weeks in Dubai is better going to India i have taken PCC personally from hyderabad Commisionar police and it took 45 days for me to get, and if u go to Passport office it is taking more than 3 to 4 months, so i advise u to take it from dubai itself.

If u go to hyderabad there are two ways to get PCC one direclty from comissioner office other from passport office, police is better than passport office bcoz again passport office will refer ur case to police. if u need details let me know i will guide u.

Hello,

I'm a Bangladeeshi citizen and studied in Chennai back to 1995-98. And for Canadian immigration purpose, i required to submit the Indian PCC. I went to Chennai directly and trust me, I got it within 3/4 working days. It happened in December end last year.

One thing that might faster my process was that, I had the PCC from the same office and that was expired before. Hence, I submitted the xerox copy of the same and collect it right way.

thanks for your advise, i am trying to get PCC from District SP office if it will come my problem will solve smoothly but some body told me that now a days SP office not issuing PCC is it correct?

no both passports are issued at hyderabad only, i don't know exactly but i guess my problem is i have 3 passports first one was damaged so I took 2nd one , and again when i was go to insert my wife's name in my passport they issued new passport.

Pls go through this web site u will get details about PCc from hyderabad police. I obtained PCC from comissioner office itself and no need to submit ur passport for that. all details u will find on this likn.

can anybody tell me if i take Indian PCC from Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) office.

its very urgent please responde, coz getting Indian PCC in Dubai is getting late to me so i am planning to go to India for PCC.
