Hi,

I just came to know that we can't reissue our PCC before 6 months of the old one. Is it actual or did you get yours reissue within that time.

Hi reissued it within 4.5-5 months. From Mumbai local district police office.

Hi, would you please share how did you manage to get PCC re -issued? I contacted Passport office and they told they can't re-issue within 6 months of issuing PCC

If i have to apply for Pcc along with my wife ( we are Indians), does she need to create a new profile in passport seva portal or it can be done through my profile? Please reply at earliest

Each applicant has to have a different profile.

Thanks for your reply. In the EE profile I am the primary applicant and she is the dependent. I heard for PCC they ask for the copy of PR letter during the appoitnment. But the PR letter has only my name mentioned. So what should she give as proof tat she has got a PR from canada?

Its upto PSK you apply to ask for ITA letter. You can show them the ITA letter and tell them that it has name of primary applicant only. I was asked the reason for applying at PSK as well as during police verification stage. I explained them the process of EE and produced ITA letter to support ( me being primary applicant with accompanying spouse). The process went through.

I Have gone through lot for pcc from psk n have detailed discussion/argument with APO as well R.P.O so here is updated Info for all.. .
1) pcc is issued without police enquiry by pcc on same day if address is same n passport issue date is less than 1 year.

2) if passport is more than 1 year old or current address is different from one on passport they will mark police enquiry to local police station

3) passport must be updated, I means if u r married must have spouse name else first get passport updated then they issue pcc.


4) don't strictly follow website instructions as it's totally upto APO.. As they refused to accept state govt. Bank passbook as prof of address(only national banks accepted) which totally contradicts website instructions as well as passport is not accepted as ID proof n reason quoted was "we don't know, we have instructions from office to not accept passport as ID proof".. .. So dumb. ..

I was never asked to add spouse's name in my passport. So that is again at RPO's discretion.

Yea, there should be common set of rules .. .so tht it's easy for applicants.. .

in each login profile you can create up to five applications. like in my login i can fill application for my parents, kids and my self

Well I applied for PCC again and this time I selected Option 6 (Residence Permit). The PCC format seems better this way. But the statement IMMIGRATION PURPOSE OTHER THAN CITIZENSHIP of CANADA is also technically correct, only thing it sounds a bit confusing. I would suggest you reissue PCC again with Option 6.

My passport was not stamped as well. I don't think it will be a problem since IRCC does not ask for copy of the stamped pages from passport. But I will leave it to other seniors in the forum to answer that.

Can you please help me. Please tell me how did you re apply because when i am trying to reapply its saying you have reached maximum limit. You cannot apply for pcc. Please help

I got my bc pnp and I am applying for PR. I already chose option 2 which is immigration purpose other than citizenship. now i cant change it. I just want to know that will it be ok for PR or not this option?

On the PCC day, do we need to carry all our passports(old and the current one) ? As far as documents are concerned I believe only address proof is required.

Still i don't have any clue for dispatch of my PCC.

Any one in group have idea how much time it will take?
