Police clearance certificate - India

Dear All,

I received ITA in September '18 but had to decline it due to lack of funds. However, I got the police clearance certificate in November '18.

Now I am planning to apply again in May '19. After going through CIC website, got to know that Police certificate should be issued NO LATER than 6 months before the date of application submission. In this case, can I apply for new Police clearance certificate ? Is that allowed ?

PS : This is with respect to India.
