Police clearance certificate/Funds at bank

I am applying from Bangalore, India on May 4th.

For police clearance certificate, the one issued through the passport office forum, issued at Bangalore, will that suffice? I have earlier lived in other parts of Tamilnadu prior to bangalore.

Please let me know if this mandatory while submitting the application on May 4th?

Regarding the funds at bank- myself and my husband are applying in one of the combinations, the funds required are in our joint account. Is that enough? or should we split and show in two different account of ours? Kindly clarify

Dear Laksmisesh,

PCC is required at country level and not at state level. Only 1 PCC will be sufficient and it is mandatory.

Regarding funds, your joint accounts balance will be fine.

Can I get Police clearance certificate from one of the Bangalore One centers? Is it the same as getting one from the Regional Passport office?
Also will it be this one - Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for Indian Citizens ?

Just apply online for pcc at Indianpassport web page.only need to upload few documents.

It all depends if Police Verification report (that would have taken place during your passport issue or re-issue) has been updated with the Passport Office/Passport Seva Kendras computer records. Walk into your PSK (ensure that you call 18002581800 and find out if your nearest PSK allows walk-in for PCC applications) with the necessary documents-(Original Passport will do, but 1 or 2 more ID/Address proof would not hurt, along with photocopies of all of this).

If your Police verification report has been registered in the PSK (usually for recent Passport issues/re-issues it would have been updated) you would be receiving your PCC between 15 mins to 3 hours depending on how efficient that PSK is.

If you, (like in my case), are unfortunate and your police verification has not been updated with the PSK, your PCC WILL TAKE TIME to be issued. The wait time can be between 2 weeks to a month since your application would be transferred from PSK to Police Commissioner office to your nearest Police station (who will do the verification) and from there back to Commissioner Office and then to Passport Office and finally to PSK.

My advice is apply for PCC asap, you never know if verification has been done in your case or not.

I don't quite understand what you meant by applying in one of the combinations. (Perhaps you meant that one of you would be the PA and the other would be the dependent). As long as you are both included in the PR application (irrespective of who is the PA and who is the Spouse) Joint bank account is fine. Make sure that you provide 6 most recent months bank statements (signed and sealed) and a Bank Reference letter that states that the balance of your Joint account on that date. (again signed and sealed). Hope this helps.

The above post clearly mentioned all.incase if some opt for address change from permanent to temporary .I would suggest to apply with address on passport.online appointment for pcc much easier.hardly it would take 2hr max.

Actually funds with joint account are perfect to prove marriage legitimacy and 100% money belongs to you.if principal applicants is married better to show funds as joint although not necessary.No point in showing funds in different account .As per funds part you have perfect authentic document to support yourself.

Dear friends,
I had some of my POF in the form of fixed deposit in state bank , now it has finished its term and got matured so I fixed it again for another 6 months , I want to know should I inform visa office about this change , I came to know that the fixed deposit no. Changes when we renew it again. I have already done my medicals and passport submission waiting for visa stamped passports . Just tell me friends is it neccessary to inform visa office of this change it's a small amount or else I am planning to send a small mail with the new fixed deposit no. Please guide
