I was in Mexico City for a year (2010-11) and have to submit my Police Clearance Certificate. I was asked to submit my documents to the Canadian Consulate in Mexico City. I have done that (for self & spouse) and in a follow-up email, the consulate confirmed that the documents were sent to PGR on August 25th 2017.
The initial 60 days given by IRCC ended on 10th Oct. I had asked for an extension and they gave me until 10th Nov. I sent a follow-up email to the Consulate and they sent back the same email they sent the first time
Has anyone else received their clearance certificate recently? I know there was an earthquake recently in Mexico City, so some delays are to be expected. Not sure how much more time it is going to take. What is worriesome is that I get not intimation of what is happening (have they received the certificate, are there any issues?)
Is this normal? What is the typical turn-around for PCC from Mexico (officially 30-60 business days, but actual?) Would there be any notifications from IRCC when they receive the Clearance Certificate?
