Police Clearance Certificate for Canada

Heyy Guys,

I have submitted application for my PR under CEC on 21st June from India and i got my AOR. I have included Police Clearance certificate for India, Now friend of mine says that i should include PCC for Canada as well.

Is it must for every application?
Should i wait for them to ask for it or Should i start the process to get one soon.
How to have my fingerprints taken in India? Is it only through police station or there are some fingerprinting agency?
Is it advisable to send the forms directly to RCMP or to fingerprint.ca for converting it into Electronic one.

Instead of listening to friends, check what CIC has to say. Refer to document checklist and instruction guide for mandatory documents.
And in said instruction guide it states;

These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six (6) consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

If CIC still requires PCC from Canada, they will contact you with information how to obtain them.

This says i need to submit PCC for Canada, if i am applying from outside of Canada.

No, it says you MAY need one:

If you are applying under any other category or from outside of Canada, you may be requested to submit a Canadian police certificate for your time in Canada.

Like I said, CIC might request RCMP check later on. But only in individual cases.

Anyone who submitted from india or other country, could throw some light here, If you are requested for PCC from Canada.
