Police Clearance Certificate for applying PR

Its been over 30 days for me and it still says 'Processing at the Consulate'. I was traveling for work so could not apply apply for it earlier.
Is there a way to find out how much longer it will take? I have to submit my PR application before the 7th of Ocotober and need to travel for work on the 11th.
This is worrying me and my job may depend on this.
Please help.

I got police certificate in 2 weeks and my colleague visited the consulate as he wanted his passport for some other purpose and they issued the police certificate and returned his passport on the same day ,I would suggest you to visit consulate and enquire
