Hi,

Is it mandatory to submit Police Clearance Certificate of Home country and from Canada, during submission of CEC application.

It is mandatory to submit PCC for all the countries you have stayed more than 6 consecutive months after your 18th birthday, not required to submit for Canada while u send ur application, unless CIC requests it in later phase

So yes from ur home country and other countries if applicable

i dont think it is required to send the police clearance. They said it is recommended but not mandatory as far as I know.

You can read point 14 in the check list.

Yes Kammar, you are right

Thanks Kammar and mnjDev for your responses.

It is also up to the discretion of the VO. In my case i lived in the same country until I was exactly 18 years and 5 months, and then moved to Canada. They requested a PC from me about a month ago, and I even clarified with the VO that I was only in the other country for 5 months since turning 18, and if they still needed a PC, and they confirmed they did, even though in the guidelines it says its needed for any country where you have lived for more the 6 months consecutively since the age of 18.

Thats really wierd. So the guidelines do not apply to VO :)
