Hi All,

If any Indian national applied for police clearance certificate in Toronto, please help me inthis regard.

1. Police clearance:

I am out in Toronto and would like to obtain a police clearance certificate.

Should we mail the required documentation to consulate or can we walk in to the consulate.

In portal they mentioned as
Passport Services - Police Clearance
Application for a Police Clearance Certificate from India (should be mailed to the Consulate)

Also, as i am applying for my spouse. In this case can we both mail the documents together???

Called up customer care but no avail.

2. Birth certificate.

Passport Services - Certificate of Birth
This is not a Birth Certificate but a Certificate of the Date of Birth. Applicants are advised to check the acceptability of this Certificate with the authorities before obtaining this Certificate).

Is Certificate of the Date of Birth ok for CEC application or do we need birth certificate.

I need to submit both Birth and marriage certificate, some one plese guide me in this.

Thanks

Hi All,

1. Police clearance:

Recently , I have issued PCC from Indian consulate. I personally went there and I suggest you the same. Bring following documents with you - Your and your's wife's passport (If possible then bring your wife too )
- They will keep your both's passport till the point they issue the pcc. So you need to give me them a prepaid National Xpresspost envelope.

2. Birth certificate.

I read some where on canadian immigration site that they accept only birth certificate from munciplality where you born. They will not accept birth certificate from consulate , school.
Thanks

Thanks fo rthe response.

How ever the documents chesk lcist says a list where birth certificate and marriage certificate or live in relation certificate should display both the names.

Does this mean that a single status applicant has to submit the birth certificate and a married papplicant can submit marriage certificate. is it that we need to submit both.. i dont think so..

any one certifcate can do ..am i right... correct me if i am wrong

Birth certificates for all applicants, plus marriage certificate if you're married.

Sorry, you are wrong :) Everyone who is included in the application must submit a copy of a birth certificate. If you are married, the marriage cert is additional.

Re: Police clearance-TIntia, Toronto Office

How much time does it take to get the police clearance. It has been 4 weeks since I submitted my passport.
Thanks

I appplied in downtown Toronto. They said it takes about 3-4weeks to get PCC & passport back but mine came within 2 weeks.
Do remember to take a Xpresspost prepaid envelope, If u forget there is a post office just beside the building. Also remember $20 bank draft or money order for each application. Better to go early about 9.30am to avoid wait time.

In my case i got in 1 week

Hi
I applied for my PCC 4 weeks ago from Toronto Consulate General of India and am yet to receive it. I sent an email to them and am awaiting further information.

Anyone else in the same boat?? I am getting so worried....

Should I be worried that it has now been 4 weeks since I applied for PCC with the indian consulate in toronto? Can I wait for longer?

Thanks in advance.
