Hello everybody,
Does anyone know if we need to present a police clearance certificate every 6+ months we are not physically present in Canada after we've landed in Canada once and gone on PR status but we face circumstances we have to leave it for over 6 months?
I know it's been a requirement as part of the immigration package for PR but what happens after landing and becoming a permanent resident? This requirement still stands?

It's not a requirement for maintaining PR status. However you will have to provide police certificates if you ever apply for citizenship.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but are you saying that when we, having met the requirements for citizenship after 6 years in Canada (subject to other residency obligations), intend to apply for citizenship, that's when we will be asked for a police certificate from our home country? Right?

if you spent anywhere outside Canada more than 6 months - you will have to provide police checks from those countries.
