Police Clarence certificate from Singapore

Does anyone has experience getting certificate of clearance from Singapore for Express Entry ?

The CIC Website says this is not required at the time of applying. Is there still a need or benefit to apply for this and have it ready ?

You won't be able to get a clearance from Singapore without a letter from CIC. So you can't even prepare it in advance for any reasons.

In lieu of the PCC from Singapore, you would upload a brief letter of explanation -

"When you apply for permanent residence, you will be asked to upload a police certificate. Instead, you must upload a document that states: “I am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from CIC to get a police certificate.”

You still could apply showing your ITA but it is not necessary, some people did and like some I did not.

Thanks MrTee - I am trying to better understand this process of Police Clearance certificates. Did you get a request from CIC asking you to submit SG PCC Later in the process or was that not required at all ?


I am not an SG citizen but I have lived in SG for about 2 years int the past.
