Hey Everyone,

We are having issues linking our account online. We have tried all suggestions from here and even contacted CIC in regards about it. But this is about that haha. So I contacted CIC and they are requesting Schedule A and Police Reports. I was informed that there may be more than one Police Check required but of course, the agent can't see the whole details and I am unable to link my account so I can't see either.

My only guess is that my husband, P.A., Indian Citizen, may require from the USA and Australia as he works for a cruise ship and was in these countries at the time for over 6 months. We didn't think of it in the beginning because he never resided there or had an address, or even really a home there. He got on the ship and only saw the USA or Australia maybe once a week.

So my question is, How do I obtain these police checks?
I found this one for the USA, but it also states to send in finger prints. How do we do that?
https://forms.fbi.gov/identity-history-summary-checks-review/q384893984839334.pdf

I did little research on Australia, which I will do more tonight. Any suggestions would be taken though.
But if we would have known, we would have done this so much sooner. Our mistake.

Thank You

From the little research I have done for the Australia Check, It almost seems like we aren't able to get one. Maybe I am reading it wrong or taking it wrong. Someone can please correct me. However, I will do more research after work.

Thank you, I did more research and I found it. I was just confused under what category but I figured it out from the cic website.
However, did you send in your fingerprints and the fee was $99?
I can't remember, I think we didn't need prints.

Okay, we are just unsure as we can't link the account and read the proper email of their request. But I just want to make sure we are in the right area for getting these documents.
I just know for the States, it sounds like fingerprints are needed along with the application, as just part of their process.. Again I could be wrong. I am skimming this information before work this morning.

If you can't link the account did the request not come to your inbox

We received a message yesterday stating to link the application. I think like a generic message everyone gets.
But I called CIC twice in regards about it and only get told to contact the tech team.
And yes, no other email to my personal account has come about the schedule A or pcc.

Yes, we didn't bother to link the application until we were 7 months in.

We got the Aus police cert before we submitted because it takes a while to get them. If you need it, do it now.

It would be fine if they send things to my personal email. But we are in the dark and only assuming we need.

Yes we will get on it. We aren't 100% sure that we need but the agent just said it looks like more than one is being requested and because of his travel history, I am just assuming this.

Do they stop the process of the application until they get these forms?

They won't transfer your file to the visa office until you have submitted everything they asked for.

Here's the thing. They did not initially ask for the Australian police cert. It actually ended up being requested by our visa office, later down the line. Luckily, we already had it on hand. You only have 30 days to submit documents when they ask (but you can ask for extension).

CPC Mississauga requested his Irish (home country) police cert as well as an RCMP check with fingerprints. London Visa Office requested the Australian one (we applied outland)

okay, thank you so much for all the info. Like I said, we didn't think they would because of our misunderstanding. We have his home police check ready.
And since we can't see the actually message, I am now just assuming this is what the agent meant by more than one police check is being requested. And I would rather just get instead of waiting to know for sure.

Since you didn't link your account did you send requested forms via mail or through the web form?

Yep, we mailed everything :) I much preferred it. I did everything with tracking and signing. I would always know where it was and when it was signed for. Way better than technology for me personally

Yes I understand what you mean there! Lets see what we end up deciding to do with mail or webform haha. Thanks so much for your tips and advice. We will apply for these checks now and see what happens. I just wish we knew for sure which ones they wanted.
