Do you apply outland? I think that may be the rule with outland sponsorship. However inland may not follow the same rule. There are a number of applicants on my inland timesheets who did not submit police report with their application and submitted after they received AIP stage and got DM and landed without any issues.DaveSav said:Not the experience I had with CIC and it isn't what they told me on the phone either, both a front line rep and their supervisor after i asked to speak with them. I also contacted the visa office in Manila and they confirmed the same thing which is that as long as it was issued within 3 months of when you apply it will be valid. They accepted my Lebanon police clearance 6 months after it was issued (7 months after i applied). We just got the visa so obviously it was okay. I made the extra effort to verify this because of the different information i received on the forums.
What they told me and it's verified on their website is that the certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply. It may work differently for non family class visas or RCMP checks, but this is how it works for other countries clearances applying for family class sponsorship.
