Hello All,

Anybody who has done PCC from UK and is of Indian Nationality ?

1. Is it okay if my friend from my town in Mumbai endorses my application? He is a hardware engineer in a MNC or i can even ask my employer to endorse me.

2. Does he need to show any proofs? Also what will be the role of endorser here? Will he be asked any questions?

3..I am thinking of doing the application online so are hard copies still required of my documents to be posted to the UK from India?

4... My uncle stays in UK and hence want to know if I can send the scanned copies of the documents to him and then he will take printout and courier it to address of PCC UK saving my courier money ? Also is this procedure okay as in he sending my documents via post to PCC UK.?

5.. Also they have mentioned on their website that they might take 2 working days for premium service costing 80 GBP and 10 working days for 45 GBP. What do you guys prefer from point ofview of speed and security? Does standard also offfers speed and security ?

1. The person who endorses your application must be a permanent resident in the UK or a British national.
2. The endorser will be sent an email along with your photograph to identify.
3. Yes. ACRO will post it.
4. You can't do that. You have to upload your current proof of address. They will post the PCC to your current overseas address only. Reason: data protection. The PCC has all your details and they wont send it to 3rd parties.
5. You can pay £80 for fast delivery or take the free delivery that is included in the £45. If you chose the fast delivery, you will get a tracking number. If you take the free delivery, you wont get one. If you don't receive the document after 20 business days, contact ACRO and they will resend the document the same way according to how much you have paid. They consider non receipt of 20 business days to deem the item lost in post.

Thanks mate. I just read in the form and there they have not mentioned anything that the endorser should be a British national . Are you sure?

Sorry mate but i think you did not get my question here. If i am doing online application here will I still have to post the documents to ACRO PCC right? Please correct me if i am wrong.

Thank you buddy. I read in the form that there is someone who can take the power of attorney or something and then he can do that. Is it true? If yes how should i transfer the Power of attorney to my uncle as he is in UK

Some more questions:
. I do not have any friend in UK and i have only relatives. In the PCC UK ACRO form they say that the endorser cannot be your relative and also he should be someone who has know for you more than 2 years. :'(

1. Your friend can endorse your application.
2. Only contact details of friend to be given, no documents.
3. No need to send any hard copies. Only upload the documents online.
4. No need to involve your relative in this process.
5. If you have not yet received ITA, then opt for standard service.

You dont have to post anything to ACRO. You have to upload online but they will post to you.

So I ordered PCC from ACRO on 11th May and they debited my card on the same day. Its been 3 weeks and nothing from them. I am based in Kazakhstan. The report is ordered via regular mail. Should I start getting concerned?
