Hi all,

I received this email from CIC asking for police certification:

> Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been
six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate
Applicants in Canada and their accompanying family members, who are 18 years of age and
older and have resided in a country for 6 months or more since the age of 18 are required to
obtain a Police Certificate from that country’s law enforcement authorities. Please visit
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp. Please send the original
police certificate to this office as soon as you receive it. Please submit a police certificate from
Indonesia. All documents that have been written in a language other than English or French
must be accompanied by an official translation. This must be received at this office by:
2018/07/2

Does that mean I have to provide PC from every country I lived in? I am a diplomat and have lived in 5 countries besides my home country, and two of these countries are war-torn. Do they require PC from them all or just from Indonesia, the only country they mentioned.

Thanks in advance

Ideally you have to put up the PCC certificates for each country you have lived for more than 6 months (continuously or not)

Please see the PCC for each of the countries fulfilling this rule. Looks like they have taken the war torn countries in consideration (maybe the PCC link itself will tell you that)

If you are unsure you might want to call CIC and double check
