Police certificates & Medicals

Hello Everyone,

I received ITA on 6th January 2016 and in the process of applying for police certificates and medicals.

In terms of the police certificates on the CIC website it is mentioned that CIC will send a request letter that they need a Police certificate. How far is this true? They have given email address of the Canadian high commission in Abu Dhabi from where we have to get a Request letter for police certificate.

Secondly, if we do medicals first and get police certificates later is it okay? or is there any specific order?

If that's the procedure for your country then yes. When initially submitting your documents, instead of submitting a PCC, you submit a letter stating that the country that you need the PCC for requires an official letter from CIC. CIC should tell you exactly what needs to be in the letter that you're submitting. Once you've submitted your documents, eventually CIC will send you an official letter through myCIC requesting the police certificate. That's what i did for Bermuda

They're unrelated...just get them done. Doesn't have to be done in any specific order. And in your case, you'll have to do the medical before the PCC anyway because the PCC will be requested after you submit your documents
