Police certificates for study permit and for spouse

Dear all,

My husband got offer letter from UoW. Do we both need police certificates? What about if we have lived in several countries for more than 6 months? Please kindly advice us. Thanks.

I mean, we have those certificates from our country but what about countries where we have lived for over 6 months. Is it still a must for study permit and TRV?

Police certificates proves that you are admissible, omission may indicate that you are hiding something. Any stay in any other country more than 6 months shows you were a temporary resident of that country. Police certificate is the main document that shows that another country can admit you.

Police Certificates are not mandatory for study permit application .. however, embassy may request them later. So advance with your application then work it out to arrange for getting the the certificates later on.
