Hello everyone,

I just recently received my AINP nomination and applying to CIC. On the IMM 5690 Document Checklist Permanent Residence - Provincial Nominee Class and Quebec Skilled Workers, it says the following:

"15. Police Certificates and Clearances

You must get a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18."

I turned 18 on August 13th 2010 and moved to Canada from Qatar on September 03 2010. Basically I was 18 years old for less than a month in Qatar. That means I do not need a Police certificate from Qatar.

However, I have been living in Canada since 2010 - do I need a police certificate from Canada?

Thank you

Indeed, when you apply for permanent residency inside Canada, IRCC sends the batch to the RCMP to request the police clearance on your behalf, so unless requested by cic, you do not need to request it yourself
However, I have been living in Canada since 2010 - do I need a police certificate from Canada?

Thank you

anyone?

i was exactly in the same situation as you. moved to Canada when i was 18 years and 3 months. By what CIC says we dont have to submit PCC before Canada but i did anyways to be on safe side.

You and your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens must provide a valid police certificate for each country other than Canada, in which you have spent six or more months since the age of 18.

Do I need to submit police clearance certificate for Qatar.
I was in Qatar for 5 years (1988-1993) since my birth. Then I visited two times in 1995 and 1997 but stayed for less than six months.
