Police Certificate

Hi...

Im in the process for applying student visa. I got admission into PhD at SFU, Vancouver, I got Funding as well $20000/yr.

I have question on Police certificate. Now I am working in India. I had worked for 2 years in Germany. I came back to India in May 2012. Should I also get the police certificate from Germany. Is it necessary???

if you r indian u do not PCC .at all. But if chc ask u will have to show otherwise no need pcc at all.

OK ...But in the CIC website it is mentioned that 'You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer'

cic is for world wide view. Cheak vfs website for canada local embisee need like chandigarh or delhi. There u found cheak list there they donot mention PCC. And they also say do'nt submit extra doc's for spp and university catagari . See vfs canada for more info.

yes. U do not need it .but if they ask u to provide one you have to.in very rear cases they ask pcc. I do'nt know any one how chc ask to provide pcc.

1. Refer only VFS website.
2. You do not need PCC (India).

No, you don't need a PCC. The requirement of a PCC if you have lived longer in any place for longer than 6 months is only applicable to permanent residency applications in case of Indian citizens. I stayed in UK for 4 years before coming to Canada as a student, I didn't need a PCC, neither from UK nor from India.
