hello!

I was wondering if it is okay to send common law application with police certificate which i got almost 3 months ago when i went back to Latvia to visit my family.

Yes you can, police certificate are valide one year.

Are you sure? I thought police certificate was only good for 3 months (for my outland application anyway) and that MEDICALS were good for a year...
 
bah... mine was issued June 6th and i am sending application September 4... should i re do it?
The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

no most police certificates are good for 1 year.

but the 3 months is.
once you get your police certificate, you have to give it to cic within 3 months of getting it done.

say you got it done jan 1, it needs to be in cic's hands by april 1, no later. or you have to get another one done
:)

and yes medicals are good for one year too

you can submit it anyways. and wait for them to ask for a new one,. they may or may not need one, depends on the officer.

worth a try.

Send it overnight courier so the package will be received on Sept 5 (or 6). I think the cost is worth trying.

i will send the application on September 4 and if they want.. i will get another police certificate xD
 
I got my PCC at around mid February and my application was received on May 28th (about 2 weeks outside the 3 months) and so far I have had no request for an additional PCC so I assume after the VO having my application for 7 weeks they are happy enough with that. I would send what you have and see what happens. Best of luck :)
