Yes, they will take the original passport and you have to submitt the notarized copy of your work permit.

i don't think they need Notarized copy of work permit , they didn't ask me about it. they just get copy n match with original. But it could be different process in different province.

In Ontario notarized copy not required- It is still same rule nothing changed.
They will see your original work permit copy and return. This is applicable when you walk-in to the BLS centre. I am not aware of postal applications.

A lot of patience is needed when dealing with these people, very dis-organized and sometimes very unprofessional.

The take your original passport and send it off the India (or so they claim) and then after several weeks (if you are lucky) you get your PCC when it is indicated on your tracking site - VFS was much better and I don't understand why they changed to these lazy group of people.

No notorized copy of your WP is required. They never asked me for it, just the copy!

V: * Ottawa Jurisdiction: All the documents mentioned in the checklist needs to be submitted in original.
Toronto Jurisdiction: Indian passport holders: Original + Copy passport required / Foreign Passport holders: Copy of passport required (kindly provide original passport for verification & would be returned).
Vancouver Jurisdiction: BLS will not be accepting original documents for the Passport application in Vancouver, Surrey Calgary & Edmonton; all original documents (apart from your passports) must be notarized from the notary public.

It says notarized in checklist under Vancouver jurisdiction ... So did the same...

Thanks everyone for their replies. I have my IELTS test on July 27 , so I will need my passport for that.

Is it ok to submit the PCC after I have submitted my PR application? if yes, is there any timeframe like within one month of submission of PR application

Thanks

ANYONE APPLIED TO VANCOUVER JURISDICTION RECENTLY. WHAT ALL DOCUMENTS HAVE YOU SUBMITTED. IS IT ORIGINAL PASSPORT AND PHOTO COPY OF WORK PERMIT. IS THE ORIGINAL WORK PERMIT REQUIRED OR NOT. THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hi all,
We applied through Brampton last Saturday and the lady took our original passports and work permits. I asked her about why original work permit and she replied yes you need to submit original work permit too. Usually they take original passport only and copy of work permit. One of my friend applied through Brampton few days ago and they asked him for Original passport only. :( So they are not consistent. We are hoping we get our PCC asap with Original documents. Though I have one doubt that Do they physically go to the place where we live in India and check or they just check our records there? Any idea, anyone? Thanks.
