Police certificate! Urgent

Hello,

My express entry application now needs a new police certificate from my home country. My current certificate is issued in October, 2019. I went home for a week and came back this January 2020. The request letter body says I have to get it done in 7 days while the letter itself says it is due March 15/2020. I am asking my family back home to do a new one but it may take a while. Should I use the old one or wait for the new one?

The old one will not be accepted. If you cannot get the new one in time, ask IRCC for an extension.

The instructions typed by IRCC officer says the due date is March 15,2020 while their template says in 7 days. Which one should I believe?

Err on the side of caution and act as if it is the 7 days. Request an extension.
