Police Certificate - Post ITA CEC - Arrival to Canada Age 17, 11 Months

Hello All,

My question is regarding what police certificates I need to submit. I was 8 Years old when I left India and lived in UAE after that till the age of 17, 11 months, I landed in Canada at the beginning of month of the school year and turned 18 at the end of that month. From then on I have traveled to India for total about 20 days and to the UAE for a total of about 50 days. Do I need a police clearance from any of these places? India - very likely, since you're an Indian citizen and has been to India after you turn 18.
UAE - possibly, 50 days are way fewer than 180 days. But considering you lived there for 9 years before turning 18, they might ask you to submit it. Tho by rule, you don't have to. And they can't cancel your app if you don't include it.
I would also suggest RCMP. There's quite a few people who got the RCMP request recently, a good idea to obtain it upfront.

Hmm...I expected it to be the other way around (Absolutely - UAE, Maybe - India) because although I have been to India after turning 18, its only for a few days. Is the info posted somewhere on CIC that says that we need to submit a police certificate from the country of citizenship? Thank you for your help!

Hmmm... by the official guide online, you don't need PCC from India nor UAE.
But I'm on the conservative side when comes to prepare documents and I would get PCC from India, UAE along with RCMP before submitting an app if I were you.
