Police certificate ..plz advice

I am preparing my documents because I am expecting my file number and doc request in September
But I already took my police certificate from April 14 2009 and its mention on the certificate valid for two years.
Should I take other police certificate is that will b valid for cic

In my understanding, CHC asks for PCCs to be NOT older than 3 months at the time of applying.

I guess you might need to obtain another PCC so as to meet the timelines. Sorry to say this, but its a fact.

I donot know why CHC asks for recent 3 months, though the PCCs are generally valid for a year or more. If I see it logically, they would want to have the latest status included!

If the police report is concerning where you were before, I think it's ok. In fact, if I were you, I will still go ahead with the submission, provided you are submitting this month and if they eventually need a more recent copy, they will surely ask you. By the way, if it's not expensive and not cumbersome, you can as well get another one.

No, the OP needs PCCs that are no older than 3 months when submitted. CIC/CHC is not going to go through every passport to determine if the OP has returned to that country or not.

Could you please tell us how was the procudre for a plice clearance in UAE and does each emirates have its own or is it a federal certificate and what are the documents they look for to issue one? Did you take finger printing and did they check your background in UAE or also outside. How long does it take. i might be needing one soon.
