Can anyone please let me know ,does police certificate necessary from UK?

Since i have completed my PG diploma in UK and return to INDIA in 2010 and now its been almost 5 years.

I have lived for about 2years and 6months.(i.e Oct'2007 to March'2010)

Yes it is required as you stayed more than 6 months in a country.
