Hello everyone!

I am sponsoring my spouse from india, and we are trying to get the police clearance certificate from hyderabad as he lived there for some time. The procedure at the commissionner office in hyderabad is to get a letter from the canadian embassy stating that we need this PCC for immigration purpose. We tried to contact the canadian embassy, but we never get any reply. We do not have any letter like this, how can we apply for this certificate?
Here is what they say on the website: CRAZY REQUIREMENTS

Purpose of PCC (Proof of letter).

* PCC requirement letter from the consulate only will be accepted.
* Applicants applying for work permit, carrying job letters from companies, are not entertained.
* Visa alone will not make you eligible for PCC.

And here is the link:
http://apps.appolice.gov.in/pcchyderabad/documentsrequired.aspx

My husband also lived in bangalore, and there was absolutely no problem getting a PCC from there. We are concerned that this pcc will expire before we get the other one from Hyderabad ...

please advice

thank you in advance!

hi ..

did u tried applying PCC at your Regional Passport Office,Hyderabad??

I applied for PCC in chennai through RPO,Chennai and it took nearly 1 month to get my PCC.

What i heared from Chennai Commissioner office is to just fill up an application and a request letter for PCC in case if we are applying through Commissioner office. And PCC letter will be issued withing 1wk to 10days.

For you if applying through Commissioner office is going to be hectic, thn no worries in trying through RPO,Hyd. You need to fill up a form(Miscellaneous Form) and a request letter to RPO and submit your original PP. Min of 2 days and Max of 1month they will take to issue PCC to ur husband.

GOOD LUCK >>>>

@whiteangle,

i don't know why you make things complicate, as for my case i was in hyderabad for study purpose and now residnig in qatar i applied for PCC to the indian embassy in qatar and it took for around 1 month, i submitted only one PCC that concerns India so don't go for different PCC if you were in india take 1 PCC that generalize being in India and that is all . so one PCC is enough .

i hope you got my idea.

thank you !

I agree with u .. when u r outside the country you can request your PCC in the indian embassy in the country whr u r living. But when it comes inside India, you have to apply your PCC in the place where you are currently living not less than 1yr.

Whiteangle falls under the later category and hence they hv to apply PCC in HYD only.
