Hi, I get a police certificate from countries other than the country I am living now a while ago. So it is a year old but issued few years after I left that country and I have never went back. Is it ok? or should it also be 6 month old from issuance?

I think if you obtained PCC after leaving a country and never went back, it should be valid forever. Whereas for the country you are applying from, the PCC should not be more than three months old when you apply.

thanks

According to IRCC, you need to get the Police certificate within the last 6 months of your PR application submission.
I think that is for countries you are already living in (in my case USA) for countries you left and never went back I guess you can get a certificate after you left the country and it never expires. I read it somewhere but can't find it now. That's why I need to verification.

I have A PCC from UAE which has a validity of 6 months. My PCC from India has no expiry date.

Can anyone help me how to get pcc from india? Iam living in saudi arabia right now and the police is asking for request letter from canada for issuing the certificate.is there any alternative for request letter?

PCC for current country of residence is valid for 6 months as per CIC

Incorrect. It's no more than 6 months.
