Good morning

I applied for Express Entry in January 2015 and received my invitation to apply for Permanent Residence in February 2015. After a few months of waiting and then supplying the additional documentation they required (CEL PIP certificate), my application was rejected as incomplete.

My daughter was 17 at the time of the original application and is 18 now (as of May 2015). They are requesting Police Certificates for her now that they didn't request in the previous application. She has been living here with me since September 2011.

My questions are:

1. Has the system changed or do they require it now because she is 18?

2. Will they require only a Canadian one or one from her country of origin where she was a minor while living there?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you

Because she is 18.

Only for the country where she has lived since turning 18. If she has lived only in Canada since turning 18, you don't need to submit a Canadian PCC for her - CIC will ask you to submit the RCMP certificate if and when required. If it shows up in the document checklist, you can just add an LOE there that explains that your daughter has only lived in Canada (for 6 months or more) since turning 18.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you
