Hello everyone,

I'm a bit confused about whether I need to provide a police certificate just for myself or for my entire family. On the complete guide IMM5289, it says "If you and your family members are 18 years of age and older and aren’t permanent residents or Canadian citizens, you must provide a valid police certificate for any country other than Canada in which you spent 6 or more months in a row since the age of 18."

I'm thinking they only need my police certificate because we are applying for common-law sponsorship, in this context, my family member is my partner, but I don't want to make a mistake that would potentially reject my application, any help would be appreciated!

You are correct. You only need to provide PCCs for yourself.
