Police certificate for Canada

Hi, I'm in the Express Entry pool and I've been in Canada for over a year and a half.

I wanted to know if a Police Certificate for Canada is necessary (I got the ones from my home country already) in order to get that paperwork done in advance. I ask because I see different info like:

??? That is all the correct and relevant info... Both sources say the same thing....

??? What more info do you need? That is all the relevant info... Both sources say the same thing.... Besides, why would you believe an anonymous responder this forum over direct IRCC instructions?

Yeah, OK, but I think it came out harsher than intended, so I edited. But I am often surprised by people who copy and paste the correct info, and then ask "what should I do"? LOL. Maybe I've been doing this too long.

I understand your logic, all the info is there, but I posted this because I've met two people here in Canada that got the ITA and they had to get the certificates and they said it took a while, that I should get them while I'm in the pool, but I might not need them?.

Really depends, we applied for cec and we where asked to do rcmp check , depends on your luck
