Hi!
First, my apologies if this question had been asked before. I tried searching, but couldn't find the answers.

I lived in Canada for 2 years (2012-2014). Now I am in Thailand. I have read in CIC website about police checks that I have to get police certificates from countries where I have lived for 6 months or more.

1. Threads I have found here says I don't have to send CIC one from RCMP unless I am asked for it. So does that mean I will only have to submit a police check from Thailand and none from Canada? (Also, the threads I have read did not specify if the person posting the question was currently in Canada or currently living abroad which added to my confusion, because I've also read that if currently in Canada, no need for police check.)

2. If this is not the case and I do need to get a police check from Canada, does it have to be from RCMP? Or can I get it from other security agencies?

Thank you so much everyone for your help!

Canada is the exception to that rule, no need to submit a PCC with your application.

Cheers :)

Thank you, DelPiero)7. I was really confused about this. So, I only need PCC from my country of residence and my country of origin. Thank you so much!

Cheers!
