Hi
1) I'm wondering about Police Certificate, do i need that clearance only from my home country or from here i mean from Canada or both?

2) I received my home country Police certificate last August 2012 but i'm applying now January 2013.
In case my processing time take longer like 12 to 13 month the it will be expire on August 2013.

Any suggestions or idea Please. Thank you

Any country you have lived for longer than 6 months, including Canada.

When CIC receive your application they will do a name check for you within Canada. If a match is found (someone with same name etc) they will request you to get an RCMP fingerprint clearance within Canada. No need to worry about this unless CIC request it at a later stage.

HI,
you need Police Clearance from from Home country only(Or any other where you lived for more than 6 months after the age of 18), Canadian Police Clearance they can do if their self, If you are already in Canada, May you can get your finger printing done that felicitates the Process, but again not mandatory.

You can use your August-2012 Certificate, but as you said it will expire. SO when asked by CIC get a new PCC and submit it again, if they don't then you will be good with existing one.

Instructions:
"The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application."

Your police certificate was issued more than three months before you are submitting your application, so it is not valid. You can go ahead and submit it anyway, but you will need to get a new one.

ok i understood "The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application." meanwhile, my police certificate almost 5 months now.
Is that if i apple with that certificate and go ahead to see officer's reply? because, my all others papers ready. I can bring new certificate from my home country again but it takes time and money.

As jes_ON has suggested... you can very well go ahead and file your papers.
Expect the VO to ask for a new police certificate at a later date. Be ready with the same.

To add... it will not have any impact on the processing of your CEC application at the initial stage. You application will not be rejected upfront for the latest PCC. It can be submitted at a later stage quoting the AOR.

Technically you are meaning that after submitting my application, i will wait and see if the officer ask me new police certificate then i will send new police certificate.

The caveat being that when the VO asks for this, you will have ~60 days to respond. So if you wait until you get a request and it will take longer than 2 months to get the new PCC, you will be very stressed :)

And keep in mind that this will add to the processing time of your application.
