OK, my wife's Police certificate is about to expire, on March 13 (3 months). Am I fine if I send the visa application in before the expiry, for example February 25th?

Will she have to redo a police clearance, once it expires and it is in their possession?

Thanks.

I've heard it said it's ok as long as the application arrives at the CPC before it expires. It's possible she will have to redo it before being issued the visa though.

We sent mine in shortly before it expired as well. I'm expecting that after they process it all, they will request a fresh police clearance along with the passport. For me, it's not an issue because I can get the clearance in a day or two with no problems.

It's definitely fine as long as it reaches CIC before the 3 month expiry. Ours arrived the DAY it expired and they accepted it. They may or may not ask for another PCC. I think it depends on the visa office. With our application, my husband had to provide another PCC at about 6 months after the original issue date. BUT his original had a typo on it (which the police assured us was fine of course) so we weren't sure if there is a 6 month expiry or if the typo was the issue. I know others (processed through the same office) that didn't have to get a new PCC even while their application was in process for almost 1 year. I think it all depends.
