Hello there,

Below link tells us that we can get 5 points if our direct relative is a Canadian Citizen and is living there. It could be Uncle / Aunt as well.

I have added in my Personal Details section that yes I have my relative who is Canadian citizen - Aunt living in Ontario.

However, I don't see those 5 points getting added in my profile.

Can someone please guide me on that whether they really get added or there's some problem. If it's a problem, how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance.

There's no problem.

CRS points are only given for siblings. To get the 5 points you must have a brother or sister living in Canada. No points for aunts and uncles.

Thanks.

I checked it again, and they are awarding 15 points for siblings. Wow. And yes, there's no point for aunt/uncle.

Thanks everyone.

Yes - sorry, that should have read 15 for siblings.

When does the six selection kicks in and how can I benefit from my uncle being a PR

The six selection factors are relevant for eligibility purposes under the FSW program. That is, in obtaining the required 67 points in order to be eligible.

A friend of mine was depending on his brother to land as a PR so that he could claim the 15 points

The brother has actually done a soft landing and gone back to Dubai where he is planning to spend another 1 year

Any possibilities for my friend to claim 15 points?

Now that Am in the pool with 443. Can I unfill the part of Aunty in canada. ?

If you do and you fall below the requires 67 points under the six selection factors your profile will become ineligible.

Thanks, but my fear is that I might not be able to proof this relation Incase they ask me during application, do u think they will request for that ? Since is not sibling and am not getting any points
