Points for offer letter

Hi people,

I am currently working in Canada since last year and would like to apply for express entry. I, however have a couple of doubts which i would be grateful if anyone in this forum could help clarify

1. In order to claim 50 points for job offer we need to have a offer letter for full time continuous employment in Canada for 1 year. I have a offer letter for 13 months out of which i have already worked 8 months. Can i still claim the 50 points for this?

2. I have been working in Quebec and my current assignment demanded me to be in Quebec. I however have no intentions to tie myself to Quebec in future. What should i mention in the section "Intended location of work". My offer letter is from a company headquartered in Ontario but the project i am working is in Quebec and the Immigration office tied my WP to quebec even though the company mentioned that i would be required to work across sites in Canada.

Request you to kindly advice .

Regards,

Ram

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1 - Maybe, but this would raise another issue. If you are claiming a valid job offer in Quebec then how can you prove your intention to actually reside outside of Quebec.

2 - You can choose any other city but since you're living in Quebec you will receive a letter of intent in which you have to state your intention to reside outside of Quebec along with proof, if your argument does not convince the officer assessing your application then prepare for rejection.

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt and helpful response. I do realize its a tricky situation. However, my Quebec offer letter expires in October. Do you think it will still cause a problem?

The ideal offer letter should state that you'll be working for such employer for a year after receiving your PR. Others have received PPR without such phrasing but I cannot guarantee that will be the case for you, check this thread for more information: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/anyone-got-ppr-who-applied-with-50-additional-point-ict-cec-inland-t481071.0.html
