Dear ALL,

I was on 34 year 10 months when I applied in August-2016 intake.

Now I am 35 years 3 months.

Will they lock my age at the time apply in August-2016? or calculate running age?

TIA

you will still get points for being 34.

Hello Friends,

Please give me feedback on the following that whether am i right? I am worried about my points according to new system.

Area of Training = Section B (Electronic Engineering) = 9 pts

Employment offer = No offer = 0 pts

Work experience = More than 8 years = 8 pts

Age = At the time of application 40.5 years = 6 pts

Language = English only (IELTS) 2+1+1+1 = 5 pts
(L=8, R=6, W=6, S=6)

Family in Quebec = Brother = 3 pts

Spouse

Education = Doctorate = 4 pts

Area of Training = Section C ( Teaching at Secondary Level) = 2 pts

Age = 36 Years = 2 pts

Spouse's Language Proficiency = No proficiency = 0 pts

Total = 60 pts

Question 1: My wife is Phd in languages and she is teaching in a college. Will she get points for "Area of training" ?

Question 2 : Is there any mistake in my calculation?

Waiting for some good feedback.

Regars

What is exactly the title of her specialization?
What language does she teach?

As for you, you might or might not get your diploma assessed on Master level (not all diplomas are).

she is Doctorate in urdu (OURDOU) language and lecturer in the college. I have assessed my degrees from University of Toronto.

then mostly bad news. If she has specialization of language (from university) and not specialization of a teacher, then she will get no AOT.
She must have specialization directly from her school as a teacher in order to get those points.
You are most likely safe with yours also they will assess it again under Quebec institution.

:(

It means i am short of one point for Quebec selection certificate if she couldn't get AOT points..... really bad news...

Anyway, I am grateful to you for your response.
