POF: DD or Traveler's cheque

Hi seniors,

I am from India. I plan to land in August. I would like to carry POF in the form of some CAD and a DD. Anybody have idea about how much time will it take to change the DD into cash. Is the commission rate same for DD and traveler's cheque. Which is more preferable? Pls reply.

I get made Travel cheque. I deposited it to bank and they credited amount at right way.

Hold time for any DD payable in Canada is 5 business days, after full 5 business days the money will be in your account.
