Hey all,

I just wanted a little clarification regarding proof of funds for AIPP program.

I am currently employed & will be getting severance/end of service pay once I leave the company, I requested for a letter stating my accumulated severance pay to submit it as proof of funds as it will be readily available as soon as I leave my job. Unfortunately they are unable to provide a letter & asked me to check my company HR application which shows the total accumulation until date.

So my main question is, can I attach this email, along with a screenshot of the total accumulation from the system and submit that as proof of funds? As it is an official email and both papers will be stamped.

Also, at what stage do they request to provide proof of funds, is it when we send the settlement plan?
OR when we apply for the PR?

And last question, IF I receive a job offer, do I need to submit a EOI?

Thanks in advance for the help! :D

Based on below, such a note from your employer may not work. Proof of funds will be required when you apply for PR or work permit from outside Canada. If you already hold a work permit and are working in Canada, the POF requirement does not apply to you. What is EOI?

What we accept as proof
Funds must be readily available to you. For example, you can't use equity on real property as proof of settlement funds.

The funds must be available both when you apply and when (if) we issue you a permanent resident visa. You must prove to an immigration officer that you can legally access them to use to settle here when you arrive.

For proof, you must get official letters from any banks or financial institutions where you are keeping money.

Letter(s) must:

  • be printed on the financial institution’s letterhead
  • include their contact information (address, telephone number and email address)
  • include your name
  • list outstanding debts such as credit card debts and loans
  • include, for each current bank and investment account:
    • account numbers
    • the date each account was opened
    • the current balance of each account
    • the average balance for the past six months
Hey Andy,

What other way could i prove them that this amount is like a fixed deposite that I will get as soon as I leave employement? Because i am trying to go for Atlantic immigration pilot program through employement and i am outside canada.

Requirement is around 5700CAD$ for a family of 4. I have more than required amount but i get it once i quit work.

The email sent by my employer is stamped but no signature.

EOI = Expression of interest, someone answered me on this forum that regardless of receiving a job offer, I will be required to submit EOI, is that true?

Thanks for your help! :)
